2K Australia was the former Australian division of Irrational Games. It was based in Canberra. Take-Two Interactive acquired Irrational Games on 9th January 2006 and the division of the studio (mostly only in name) was announced on 10th August 2007. In April 2015 Take-Two confirmed the studio would be closed in order to better manage ongoing development costs while improving the working proximity of our creative teams.
