Peter Austin co-founded Level 9 Computing Ltd. in 1981. By 1983 they had become a full time employee. Austin worked on several titles released by Level 9 including Adrian Mole, both as a programmer and game designer.
Austin had previously studied Psychology and a Diploma in Computing at Cambridge University. He was a member of the War Games Society there and also enjoyed playing the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game.
