December 14th, 2020: Electronic Arts, Inc. announced the acquisition of the company for $1.2 billion, after Take-Two Interactive had bid $870 million.
March 2010: Reliance Big Entertainment Ltd. (RBEL), a part of India’s Reliance ADA group, acquires a 50% shareholding in the company.
November 14th, 2008: The company acquires the Birmingham division of development studio Swordfish Studios Limited and re-brands it Codemasters Birmingham.
August 10th, 2007: The company opens a third development studio, now in Guildford, UK, headed by Adrian Bolton.
August 31st, 2005: The company forms Codemasters Mobile, to expand the company's presence in the mobile phone gaming market. Matt Davies has been appointed Director of the new division.
