Tomohiro Nishikado is a Japanese video game developer best known for creating the classic arcade game Space Invaders.
He graduated from Tokyo Denki University in 1968 with a degree in Engineering. The following year he joined Pacific Industries Ltd which was a subsidiary of Taito Trading Company. By the time Space Invaders was released in 1978 Nishikado had worked on 10 other games at the company.
In 1996 he left Taito to form his own company, Dreams. He later returned to Taito to take up a position as a technical advisor.
