TDK Mediactive, Inc. was a division of TDK Corporation. It was initially made up of BWT Labs, Inc. and Sound Source Interactive, Inc. and the name TDK Mediactive, Inc. was first introduced on 11th September 2000, following the acquisition of SSI.

In December 2003 it was acquired by Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. for about 12.8 million dollars and as a result of the acquisition, the company was renamed Take-Two Licensing, Inc.
