Overview edit · view history
GameSpy Industries was a company which developed and licensed online multiplayer services for video games. In 2000, it also released GameSpy Arcade, a program with which players could connect, chat and play multiplayer games through.
Despite the name and branding, it was operationally separate from the website GameSpy.com, which mostly covered video game news. However, it shared the same company ownership as the site until 2012, when GameSpy Industries was acquired by Glu Mobile. In 2014, Glu Mobile announced the decision to shut down the service entirely.
