The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Description official descriptions
The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a persistent world game set in Springfield. The game starts with a parody of itself, where Homer is busy playing a game on his tablet, and neglects his duties on the power plant. As a result Springfield explodes and the player has to rebuild the town. Players can build their version of Springfield any way they like. Placing buildings will sometimes unlock more characters from the TV-series. Most buildings generates revenue when tapped with various intervals. For example the Kwik-E-Mart generates 5 money resources and 1 experience every 3 minutes. Other buildings uses several hours to complete. Since the game is persistent the player may leave the game and return later to collect generated revenue. Some of the buildings also unlocks a character. All characters can interact with some of the other buildings for additional revenue. For example most characters can shop at Kwik-E-Mart for one hour.
With experience, the player may reach a higher levels, which unlocks more buildings. There is also a special bonus currency represented as donuts. They are limited, but may be purchased for real money using in-app purchase. Donuts may speed up construction, or be used to construct unique buildings. The game features task to help the player advance in the game. This can be Lisa requesting that the school should be build, or collect 5 taxes from residential buildings.
There is also a social feature where players may add their friends to inspect other versions of Springfield. This can generate some revenue every 24 hours.

The Good
It's pretty easy and has a lot of charm and whimsy consistent with the TV show. A lot of the characters have decent one liners that you don't mind. There's an assortment of challenges and trials to meet to gain prizes and level up. Its constantly being updated. It also often makes references to upcoming episodes by giving out gifts to place in your land.
They're also refining the interface and improving it. There's always something new to unlock. It's addictive.
The Bad
I wish the characters had more variety in their dialogue.
The Bottom Line
I've been playing this silly game almost every day for the last 4 years. I think I like it.
