Baumaschinen-Simulator 2012
Description
Baumaschinen-Simulator 2012 is a job simulator in which the player owns a construction business. The open game world consists of a small town, the player's business (basically the hub), a vehicle merchant, country roads and a number of other places. The basic idea is that the player takes on missions (overall about 50) which reward money. Said money is used to buy different vehicles at the merchant which in turn unlock more missions.
When starting a new game, the player only owns a small truck for transport missions. It also has a jackhammer and a hand-operated roll loaded which can be used to fix potholes in the road for instant monetary gratification. Examples for purchasable vehicles are digger, bulldozer or low-loader which all handle differently depending on the purpose, for instance the player can move the arm of the digger. Over the course of the game the missions become more involved and require to use multiple vehicles.
Before every assignment, the vehicles should be refueled at the tank station which is located besides the player's business - the vehicles can still be moved when they run out of gas, but this results in a fine. Other cars move through the game world, but there is no collision detection. There is both a first-person (mandatory when walking outside a vehicle) and third-person available.
